HIGH SCHOOL ONLY

Attention High School Soccer Players and anyone who might think they are interested in playing soccer for CPA : there will be an “interest” meeting during lunch on Monday (Oct. 23) in rooms 309 for Men’s soccer and 310 for Women’s soccer. Bring your lunch to the classrooms – coaches will be there to answer any questions.

SENIORS – If you are applying to any college Early Action November 1, you must see your counselor, Ms. Schmitt or Mrs. Ruby,TODAY.

There will be another mandatory peer-tutors meeting in the library during Lyceum. It should NOT take the entire time. We will be discussing how to report your community service hours online and sign in sheets for students who attend your tutoring. We will also discuss how well-attended peer-tutoring was for you all before break.

MENTORS meet with their Advisors over lunch on Monday. Please bring your Mentoring folder and remind your Mentees of next Tuesday’s meeting with you.

Ultimate Frisbee Club will meet this Saturday, 9:30 am at Hoopes Park.

This Sunday, Oct. 22, we will discuss ch. 1 of Godel’s “On Formally Undecidable Propositions” and “The Modern Development of Mathematics in the Light of Philosophy”. Both are short. We will meet in the CPA Library from 6-7:30pm. See Ms. Brock or Mr. George if you need a copy of the readings.

Reminder: Check the book shelf next to the front doors for any items your parents may have dropped off for you during the day, such as: lunches; water bottles; glasses; assignments; school supplies. The front office staff will no longer be calling into classrooms to let you know an item has been left, so please take a moment between classes, on HL break, and before lunch to look for your forgotten items.

Missing a lunch box, pencil bag, or clothing item? Please check both lost and found locations, this week. All unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill, this weekend. Take a few minutes to check the bin near room 209 and the book shelf in the cafeteria by the vending machines. Thank you!

ALL STUDENT AMBASSADORS: The sign-up notebook for evening concerts, plays, and other special events is now at the front desk. If you would like to serve as a greeter at one of these wonderful events, please sign up this week or early next week. Remember, Peter Pan is coming next week!

Come out tomorrow to watch the Titan football team on the road vs. AZ College Prep. The game is at 7pm at Anderson Junior High. It is a Pink out, so wear your Pink!

SENIORS only: Your Senior Thesis abstract is due tomorrow. Include your working thesis statement in your abstract and submit two hard copies to your HL teacher. If you have questions about the abstract, contact your advisor, refer to the Senior Thesis packet on our CPA web page, or email Mrs. Somsen.

NO UNLOCK MEETING until Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 7:50 in the cafeteria due to PSAT testing in the cafeteria next week. However, you can sign up this week for the pumpkin decorating next Thursday, Oct. 26, from 3:30 to 5:00 in the Art rooms. Sign-up sheets are on the Life Science window.
