SENIORS AND JUNIORS

The first college visits of the year start soon! Don’t forget to check out the black boards in the forum for more information.  If you have any questions, see your College Counselor.

9th grade retreat begins on Thursday this week.  It is the last chance to sign up online.  Make sure you bring or email Mrs. Stephens a signed Behavior contract by Thursday.  Students will attend classes as normal Thursday in the morning and can store their trip bags in the library until Lyceum.  All students must remain in uniform while on campus on Thursday.

11th and 12th graders have the first opportunity to sign up for the upper class high school retreat on the Configio payment portal.  We want to involve as many high school students as possible from the classes of 2023 and 2024.  Field trip details will be coming home today in HL classes.  See Mrs. Stephens if you have any questions.  Let’s have a strong start to the year, Titans!

MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY

Fall sports for MS students are about to start in one week! Tryouts for all MS sports begin on Monday Aug 15th. You must be cleared in order to participate, if you have any questions about any sports, tryout times, or clearance requirements, please see Mr. Jones in athletics.

Hello Titan Ladies! Please consider joining this year’s CPA Women’s Choir. We meet on Tuesday mornings in the theatre and would love to have you all there. There is no audition, all are welcome!

Jazz Band will have a brief informational meeting in room 213 on Friday afternoon at 3:30. We look forward to welcoming new and returning members to the Jazz Band. If you play an instrument and you have never been before, come give it a try!

THERE WILL BE A BANNER IN THE FORUM this week that all students can sign for “Mr. John.” our amazing and much-loved day porter. Mr. John had been in the hospital and will still be out from work for a while. We want to send our get well wishes AND let him know how much we love him and miss him! PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE QUIET if you are signing in the forum, so our wonderful front desk staff can answer the phones and do their jobs! See Mrs. Goodwin if you have questions.

Lyceum, for the new people, is a short free choice time after Lunch in which you may study, read, or play and talk with friends.  Lyceum happens directly after lunch, so please pick and be in your chosen location 5 minutes after the lunch dismissal bell.  The places you can go for Lyceum are the Cafeteria for Quiet study hall, the Ramada for free time, the Field for recreation, or Seniors may be in room 304 for computer or work time.  If you are going to the field, you must walk over with a teacher.  The field groups leave from the Ramada gate at the end of lunch.

All students that need to meet with their Archway siblings for after-school pick-up on the east side of the campus need to meet after school by room 201 by 3:20.

Please look around and throw away ALL of your own trash when you finish eating lunch. Check your table, chair/bench, and floor. The lunch duty crew should not have to throw away anyone’s trash. Also, please push your chair in when you stand up to leave. Thank you!

If you forgot an item such as your lunch and believe a parent has dropped it off please check with the front desk during a passing period or lunch.
