WOW!! Titans are great-hearted AND generous! Thanks to both high school and middle school, we collected $350 to support orphaned elephants at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Africa. This means we can continue to support the same six elephants we sponsored this year PLUS add an additional orphan. Dutch Bros gift card winners this week are Savanah Winiesdorffer in high school and Joy Brown in middle school.

Students who bicycle to campus must dismount and walk their bike on campus. After school students with bicycles must walk their bike from the bike rack to the edge of campus using the center crosswalk area in front of the Prep school entrance. Once across, students should turn right and walk north along the sidewalk adjacent to the field. At the corner of the field, turn left (west) and walk along sidewalk adjacent to the gas station (north end of the field) to the public sidewalk along Alma School Road. This policy in reverse will also apply to students biking to campus in the morning; they are to dismount and walk their bike from the edge of campus to the bike rack using the sidewalk and crossing zone.

GREAT JOB, TITANS, ON OUR ELEPHANT COIN DRIVE!! High school students have so far contributed $100, and middle school students have given $140. This means we are only $60 away from our school goal of $300, so that we can continue our support of the six orphaned elephants we sponsored this year. Please see Mrs. Goodwin for your gifts cards We will select two new winners this Friday from everyone who donates at least $2.

A reminder about 1st hour tardies, from The Family Handbook (You CAN be on time! Two more weeks!): “The school disapproves of the accumulation of unexcused late arrivals to school, irrespective of the circumstances. Persistent first-period tardiness is highly disruptive of instruction and undermines student morale. On the third occasion (fourth for Middle School) that a student has an unexcused first-period tardy in a quarter, a detention will be issued to the student by the first–period teacher. For each subsequent unexcused first period tardy in the quarter, another detention will be issued. When a student has received four detentions for tardiness in a quarter, then he or she may receive an in-school suspension for a duration determined by the administration.”
