JUNIORS – Your letter of recommendation folders are due to your College Counselor this Wednesday, April 17.

Parking Permits: All student drivers must have a parking permit to park on campus. If you do not have a school issued permit on your dash, you will get a warning. If you continue to park without a permit, your car may get booted/towed. HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL

Congratulations to both the Men and Women’s tennis teams on winning their sections last night! The girls and boys both won out over Gilbert Classical and now move onto the state tournament next week. Way to go Titans! 

Due to AZ Merit Testing, the cafeteria will be closed every morning from 7:45a.m.-11:15a.m., from today until April 23rd. Morning entrance into the school must be through the front doors, only. Thank you!

It is time for the Seniors to Present their main stage plays!! Please come out and support your fellow students. On Thursday April 18th we will be performing Saint Joan at 7pm in the Theatre. Saint Joan is a play by George Bernard Shaw about 15th century French military figure Joan of Arc. The play dramatizes what is known of her life based on the substantial records of her trial. Hope to see everyone out at the theatre on those nights! And Seniors BREAK LEGS!!

Archery and Bowyery – We will meet Thursday after school at 3:30 in the Forum.  Expect to end around 5:00.  

Any 8th-11th grade girls interested in playing high school volleyball next year, please come to an informational meeting before school on Thursday 4/18 at 8:00am in room 202. If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Jones before Thursday.

HIGH SCHOOL ONLY

The cafeteria will be closed TODAY during high school lyceum for our College 201 & Senior Survey meeting.  Also, there will be no ramada access allowed.

SENIORS – There is a mandatory College 201 TODAY during lyceum in the CAFETERIA.  Please bring a pen or pencil, and your college acceptance and scholarship information.

SENIORS – Graduation announcements are ready for you to pick up. You may stop by the front desk during lunch or Lyceum to retrieve them.

Juniors – Today during High School Lunch, Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Drake will be in the cafeteria to collect money for the 50/50 Raffle and your ticket stubs.  Please make sure you bring your money to be deposited.  Remember, for every 10 tickets you sell, you are entered in the drawing for a pair of Apple AirPods.  You have one more month to sell tickets! The drawing for the 50/50 Raffle is May 20th.  If you never picked up your initial tickets to sell, please do so Tuesday.  You have one month to sell your tickets.  Thank you to all students have sold ticket so far!!  Keep Selling!!

Seniors and Juniors: Guest forms for Prom are due today.

Seniors – Remember to update Naviance with your college decisions.  Next Tuesday, April 16 there will be a mandatory College 201 to prepare for the Senior Survey where you will report your admission decisions and scholarship money.  Please see Ms. Schmitt or Mrs. Ruby if you have questions.

Our junior class field trip to ASU is this Friday, April 12.  Here are important reminders:

  • Wear your school uniform.  Bring an approved jacket/sweater for inclement weather.
  • Running shoes/sneakers are allowed. NO flip flops.
  • Report to 1st period for attendance.  You will be dismissed at 8:20am to go to the forum.
  • Buses leave CPA at 8:30am and are scheduled to return by 3:00pm.
  • No phones allowed on field trip.  Put them in your CPA locker.
  • You may bring a water bottle.

ALL NEW MENTORS:  You have two mandatory orientation sessions this week during HS Lyceum in the theater: today, Wednesday, April 10, and tomorrow, Thursday, April 11. Please be on time and bring something to write with. Both sessions are required for all new Mentors. If you believe you have an unavoidable conflict either day, see Mrs. Goodwin ASAP.

Blood Drive committee will be meeting THURSDAY during lunch in the forum to plan our May 1st blood drive! See Mrs. McCord with questions.

Seniors – Voting will be open in the Forum Today – Friday for People’s Choice Award using the URL code on the Forum Tables. You may have your phones out as you leave the building to vote on any one of those 3 days. https://forms.gle/FjZmWUQT7aZ15jD56

Seniors:  The well coveted blue tape ball has grown tremendously over the course of the year. We will be having a Senior Only “People’s Choice” award where only seniors can vote for their absolute favorite piece and best peer artist. Winner will receive the tape ball signed by their entire class with long lasting bragging rights for many years to come. Look for the growing tape ball in either Art or Drama within the next month. Voting will take place next week in the Forum from Wed-Fri while 1st and 2nd Semester Art class work is on display. 

Come sail away on a desert cruise, setting sail April 13th! This year’s Prom will have a yacht theme, and we look forward to having all Juniors and Seniors aboard! Tickets go on sale at lunch during the week leading up to Prom.  Prom tickets will go on sale April 8th and will be $50.00. Get yours early and don’t miss the boat!

You are invited!  Fine Arts Night – TONIGHT – 6:00-8:00 PM.  Featuring 6, 7, 8, 12th grade art show, a scene performed by the drama club, “Battle of the Bards” poetry recitation competition, and jazz.  See you there!

Fine Arts Night is HERE! We need your help for set up and tear down. There are Student Sign Up sheets on the door of room 214. 3:30-4:30pm and/or 8-9pm are available. We also call for student ambassadors and leaders to attend and help with the flow of the events going on throughout the school this evening. Look for sign-up sheets coming soon. Merci! Voting during the event for “Best in Show” and “Most Creative” Senior piece will take place during the show. We invite you to come out and cast your vote for your personal favorite senior paintings!
