HIGH SCHOOL ONLY

SENIORS – There will be a Flinn Scholarship meeting Tuesday, August 21 during Lyceum in the Library. If you plan to apply for the Flinn, this meeting is mandatory. PLEASE check the minimum requirements for Flinn posted in the Forum and on the SENIORS bulletin board near the College Counselors’ offices. See Ms. Schmitt or Mrs. Ruby if you have questions.

ALL MENTORS meet with their Advisor over HS lunch this Monday. Remember to bring your Mentor folder and arrive promptly for your meeting. There will be a separate lunch line for Mentors, and we ask you to politely ask to go to the front of the microwave line should you need one. DON’T FORGET to ask a non-Mentor friend to sub for you IF you are assigned lunch duty next week. Thank you!

Willkommen, Bienvenue, and Bienvenidos! All students are asked to join us on Friday, August 17 in room 203 during lunch for the first World Language Club meeting. If you wish to learn more about languages and cultures and/or want to share your own with the club, please mark your calendars! (Feel free to eat your lunch at the club meeting while we discuss.)

MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY

ALL NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS: Remember you meet next Tuesday, August 21, from 3:15 to 3:45 with your Mentor. Wait in your sixth period classroom for your Mentor to pick you up, and please remember to remind your parents not to come pick you up until 3:50 that day. Very importantly, you MUST wait on the sidewalk for your parent to pull up to the curb to pick you up, like any school day, OR cross at the crosswalk with the duty teacher. NO STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO WALK BETWEEN CARS TO GET TO THEIR PARENTS. Thank you for practicing safe behavior!

HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL

Jazz Ensemble auditions are today after school, so if you signed up, be sure to be there for your time.
If you missed the sign-up last week and you are still interesting in knowing more about how to play in the CPA Jazz Ensemble, it is not too late. Stop by room 213 after school today to talk to Mr. Gottry. All instruments are welcome.

ALL STUDENTS WISHING TO BE STUDENT AMBASSADORS (who were not one last year), please sign the clip board at the front desk or in the Life Science room TODAY indicating your interest. Thank you!

Titans! Now the time has come to design your logos for your titan houses! Design sheets are located at the front desk near the telephone so pick one up between classes, at lunch or before or after school! Logos are due to Mrs. Caporali by next Friday! Be sure to not only draw your design and color it, but explain why that logo best represents your house! Any questions please see Mrs. Caporali.

FRIDAY NIGHT! CPA is hosting a football game against ACP, and they are trying to say that it is an ACP home game. Yes, you read that correctly. Another school is trying to take over CPA’s field. Well, we won’t let that happen so this Friday Thumos and the PSO are hosting a tailgate at 5:30 in the CPA parking lot! Food truck vendors and face painting will be available to get everyone ready for the game! Then at 7:00 show up wearing all black clothing to show your Titan pride for the CPA Blackout event! A titan house point booth will be set up and extra points are earned for wearing black clothing and your CPA house pin! GO TITANS!

Attention All Titan!! This Friday is our first home football vs. the ACP Knights. We are kicking off the season with a pre-game tail-gate at 5:30 in the front parking lot by the field. We will have The Traveling Cup, a gourmet coffee truck in the parking lot starting at 5:30. It will be a BLACK OUT, so wear your Black!
Our Rivals from ACP, think they are going to make this their home game, so we need to show our #TITANPRIDE and #TITANUP and show then this is CPA!!!

Archery and Bowyery – In order to avoid conflict with mentoring, we will have our organizational meeting after school on THURSDAY in room 307. Expect to be done by 4 pm.

A reminder to all students: Once a student is on campus, he/she may not leave campus except under parental supervision or under the supervision of an authorized teacher or coach.

Titans! Your house pins are now allowed to be worn all year! Continue to wear your pins everyday and show your titan house pride! Pin checks will be random and all year! Go Titans!
