HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL

A note on arriving to school on time: More than 30 students arrived late to school, today. Students are expected to be present in their classrooms and ready to begin class work prior to the late bell. The Family Handbook states: “The school disapproves of the accumulation of unexcused late arrivals to school, irrespective of the circumstances. Persistent first-period tardiness is highly disruptive of instruction and undermines student morale.”

Tardiness interrupts learning for everyone in the classroom and is disrespectful to teachers. Students who are tardy miss the very important beginning of class. Good attendance and punctuality are skills for success in life; that is why we emphasize both. – Be prompt to all classes (in your seat when the bell rings).

Any 8th-11th grade girls interested in playing Volleyball next fall please see Coach Jones for some information regarding summer workouts and camps.

Next Monday, May 17th we will have a meeting for anyone interested in running Cross Country next fall.  The meeting starts at 3:05pm in room 309 (right next to the athletic office).

EMPTY KLEENEX BOXES STILL NEEDED. Please drop off any empty cube-shaped or thicker rectangular Kleenex boxes to the Life Science classroom or front desk. Our frisky little Titan rats are in need of “playhouses.” Thank you!

Are you interested in playing football? Well, here is your chance. Spring football starts next week.

  • Open to All Current 8th-11th graders
  • When: May 17-21
  • Time: 3:30-6:00
  • Contact Coach Brittain for any questions.

We will now say the Pledge of Allegiance together: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
