Hello Titans! Today is the final day of trivia. The winner/winners will be announced. To enter, please place the answers to all 5 trivia questions in the boxes located in front of Mr. Poppleton’s office near the Tax Credit Jars. Answers must be in the box by 10:30. 

High School – What did Joseph Priesley discover in 1774?

Juniors, the 50/50 Raffle is gaining momentum! Maggie, Emily, and Veronica are the only Juniors who have qualified for the AirPods drawing so far.  Remember for every 10 50/50 Raffle tickets you sell, you receive one entry for the drawing.  Tonight at the Titan Triad, if you work a 30 minute shift to sell tickets at the Junior Class table, you will receive one entry into the AirPod drawing! See Mrs. Atkins or Mrs. Drake at the Triad to sign up to work tonight. 

FRESHMEN – There are changes to our FIG schedule.  There is one more FIG meeting this week TODAY, Friday, March 1.   Next week there will be two FIG meetings – one on Monday, March 4 and one on Thursday, March 7.  Check the College Corner for your assigned group & date.   All FIG meetings are during Lyceum in the Library.  Please arrive by 12:45pm.  

Environmental Club meeting on Wednesday at  lunch  in room 302, all are welcome to attend! 

Parking Permits: All student drivers must have a parking permit to park on campus. If you do not have a school issued permit on your dash, you will get a warning. If you continue to park without a permit, your car may get booted/towed. Please see the front desk with any questions about the parking permit application process. Find all information re: applications/payments online at chandlerprep.greatheartsacademies.org

FORMER MENTORS who are not currently serving but would like to return to Mentoring next year, pick up an application and hand out the recommendation forms to your teachers. You do not need to write an essay.

Due to the Titan Triad preparations the Field will be closed today during lunch and Lyceum for both Middle School and High School. The gym will be open today during Lyceum.  

The field monitors will move to the gym for monitoring during Lyceum.

Please check the lost and found- and the locker rooms! – every week, as all unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill, every weekend. The lost and found is not your locker! Take a few minutes to check the bookshelf across from the front desk, and the book shelf in the cafeteria by the vending machines. Thank you!

If you’ve lost your school-issued planner/agenda, the front desk has them on sale for $3.00.

A friendly reminder to keep track of your school-issued textbooks: The lost and found is not your locker. Please keep your books in your possession. All found books will be returned to teachers, and you may be docked participation points for lack of materials.

Drama Club is having an ALL CALL for all rehearsals this week. So everyone is needed on Friday afterschool in the theatre. This is a very important week. Everyone please come and stop by so we can figure out the future of the play.

ARCHWAY IS HOSTING A FUN ACTIVITY FOR PARENTS AND ELEMENTARY KIDS this Sunday afternoon and needs volunteers to help from 2:30 until 5:00. If you would like to help, please see Mrs. Goodwin or Senora Kendrick. High school students will earn community service hours.

Have you danced the night away in some attire that now is just sitting in closet collecting dust? If you have any old dresses, purses, and/or accessories, you can donate them to the Cinderella Affair. This is a non-profit organization that gives girls opportunity to find a dress to wear so that they are now able to attend their prom! There is a donation box in the forum that includes any additional information. Please contact Ava C, 10th grade, with any questions.

It’s Triad Spirit Week!

It’s time to celebrate Our Triad, which consists of 3 areas, Athletics, Academics and Arts.

Monday is our Kick off day with Triad Botts Beans at lunch time and quidditch player selection.

Tuesday is Athletic day. At lyceum go out to the field to watch Quidditch practice!

Wednesday is Academic day. We have CPA trivia happening all week, but double trivia today.

Thursday is Arts day. Wear crazy, artsy socks. At lunch and lyceum, help color in the HUGE CPA zentangle or color your own.

 Archery and Bowyery – We had our final archery challenge of the quarter.  It was very close; all three finalists won at least one of the challenges!  1st place – Anna Skarupa, 2nd place – Sean Williams, 3rd place – Alex Pham.

Volunteers Needed: Feed My Starving Children – Sept. 28th

The Archway PSO has invited the CPA  Chandler community to serve together at Feed My Starving Children on our HALF DAY FRIDAY, September 28th. This non-profit group brings in volunteers to pack bags of food to starving children around the world. Registration is required to participate, we have 133 slots, please click the following link or use the join code 1499964:

Feed My Starving Children – Sept 28th 1:30-3:30pm. This is not a drop-off event. All children must be accompanied by adults. The following ratios are strictly followed.

Grades K-2: 1 student to 1 adult

Grades 3-6: 3 students to 1 adult

Grades 7-9: 4 students to 1 adult

Grades 10-12: 5 students to 1 adult

What is Stoa? STOA (‘Stow-ah’ in ancient Greek architecture, describes an area for public usage which created a safe, protective atmosphere. For Chandler Prep, it is an informal gathering time offered by the PSO where new and returning Chandler Prep parents and guardians can ask questions, learn about upcoming events, and meet others in the Chandler Prep community. Come on Friday, August 10th at 2:30 pm in the library for the first meeting!
