By | Announcements, latest announcement

HIGH SCHOOL ONLY
Attention Sophomores and Juniors. Fully paid scholarships are available for motivated students to attend St. John’s College summer academy. These weeklong courses in Annapolis, Maryland and Santa Fe, New Mexico are great for exposure to college, intellectual adventure, and meeting other high school students from around the country. There will be an informational meeting on Friday the 16th during Lyceum in the Library. Students who have attended in past years will be there to help answer your questions. See Mr. Myers with questions in the meantime.

Blood Drive Committee will be meeting THURSDAY during lunch in the forum to discuss our first blood drive of the year.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY

Middle School Orchestra – remember that tomorrow morning’s rehearsal is on stage in the theater. Please be on time. Friday night is our concert! See Mrs. Gottry with questions.

REMEMBER TO REMAIN SEATED IN THE CAFETERIA during lunch until it is time for the pledge. Having students crowd into the walkway before that time creates a unsafe situation. You will be told to return to your seats if you stand to leave before the pledge.

ANGEL TREE SIGN-UPS WILL BE ON THE LIFE SCIENCE WINDOW starting tomorrow, Thursday. Our annual Angel Tree trip to Chandler Mall for UNlock Club members will be Thursday, Nov. 29, after school.

HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL

EARN HOUSE POINTS BY WRITING A THANK-YOU LETTER TO THE MEN AND WOMEN SERVING OUR COUNTRY in the military! TODAY, WEDNESDAY, Nov. 13, during lunch and Lyceum, and tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 15, during lunch, Lyceum, and after school, we will have stationery, directions, and sample letters in the cafeteria. Check in with Mrs. Goodwin or another teacher on duty after completing your letter to receive five points for your house. This event is again being sponsored by our UNLOCK CLUB, but it is for ALL CPA students, families, and faculty. The letters will be sent through “Operation Gratitude” to the brave men and women in the Armed Forces.

For those interested in playing golf this year, we will start playing at Ken McDonald before Thanksgiving. An interest meeting will be held in the gym at the beginning of lunch on Wednesday, November 14th. Ask Mr. Shoemaker for additional info.
