HIGH SCHOOL ONLY

HS only: 

Listen for the following locations which affect all High School students this afternoon. Today will be different due to the 11th and 12th grade Awards Ceremony. Please pay attention and go where you are supposed to be. See your teachers or Mrs. Stephens if you have any questions about where to go.

9th graders, you will have lunch as normal in the cafeteria, then you will all go to the field for Lyceum. There will be no tutoring today due to the ceremony. Please go to the field with Mr. King and Mr. Lindbloom at the usual Lyceum time. 9th graders will go to their normal 5th and 6th period classes today. 

10th through 12th graders, you will have lunch in the cafeteria and ramada areas, then you will go to the GYM for the awards ceremony. Sit in your assigned seating areas where you rehearsed last week, and with your 5th period class for 10th graders. There will be ushers in the Gym to help you find your seats. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY

Hey middle school boys, are you guys looking for a chance to compete in a fun basketball tournament at the end of the school year? A former Great Hearts student is inviting you to participate in the first annual 3v3 Basketball Tournament to win NBA and NFL jerseys, autographs and much more! Cost for registration will be $15.00 per team. The tournament will be hosted at CPA on May 28th and 29th. Character Award:

Community Service Award: This service award goes to two tenth grader who exhibits an exceptional heart of charity and willingness to serve the good of others at every turn in the classroom, on campus, and during extra-curricular

activities.

Virtus Award: The award winner is selected by each group of teachers in that section, and it goes to the student whom the teachers have seen hang in there, rising to meet particular challenges with exceptional determination not to be overcome by setbacks.

Students may pick up their awards at the Front Desk at the end of the school day

High School and Middle School Academic Awards Certificates will be distributed to recipients today during 6th period.

“Attention CPA Singers! Audition Sign-ups are posted on the door of room 306 for Schola Cantorum tryouts. This is CPA’s highest level choir that frequently gets to perform here and at festivals throughout the state. This coming year will even include a trip to a choral festival in California. It is an incredible part of CPA life to be involved with. Please sign up for a slot and ask Dr. Carpenter any questions that you may have.”

Picturesque Prom is just around the corner on May 21st! It will be at the Irish Cultural Center from 7-11. All junior and seniors are invited to purchase tickets the week before for $30 presale, or $35 at the door. There will be many photo opportunities to record the night and help cherish its memories forever!

Next week is Senior spirit week! Which means seniors and teachers can dress up out of uniform to celebrate our seniors! 

Monday is senior citizen day 

Tuesday is anything but a water bottle day (this day, uniforms should be worn) 

Wednesday is Favorite Greek God/Goddess

Thursday is Favorite Literary Character day

Friday is Dressing up as your new school’s mascot or in their spirit wear. 

The best dressed senior by student and faculty voting will win a gift card. For any questions, see the spirit week guidelines or ask Sydney Bruns or Mrs. Stephens about it.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY

Attention all 6th graders! Join your class in celebrating the end of the year at KTR on Friday, May 20th from 5 -7 pm!!  Cost is 10 dollars. You MUST reserve by TODAY MAY 13th.  Please look out for the flyers or check the CPA newsletter on how to sign up.

For all 8th through 11th grade students who are interested in joining or returning to the CPA high school swim team in the fall, come join us for an interest meeting at lyceum on Monday, May 16th in room 301. You will have the opportunity to hear from coaches and captains about what its like to be an aquatic titan, and get some logistical info for next year. Reach out to Ms. Gallant if you have any questions!

Any girls interested in playing volleyball next year (8th-11th grade), come to a meeting in room 310 after school TODAY at 330 to get info on summer camps.

We are once again holding a PAPER TOWEL DRIVE to support the important work of our friends at Liberty Wildlife. Please bring your roll(s) of paper towels to the Life Science room OR the labeled bin in the forum any day this week or next. If you shop at Costco, their paper towels work the best to line the bins that hold baby birds, however, Any and All paper towels are useful and much appreciated.
