HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL
Forgotten Items Reminder: Check the bookshelf next to the front desk for any items your parents may have dropped off for you during the day, such as: lunches; water bottles; glasses; assignments; school supplies. Please take a moment between classes, on HL break, and before lunch to look for your forgotten items. It is your responsibility to check the bookshelf. You will not be called out of class to pick-up items.
A word on tardiness: Tardiness interrupts learning for everyone in the classroom and is disrespectful to teachers. Students who are tardy miss the very important beginning of class. Good attendance and punctuality are skills for success in life; that is why we emphasize both. – Be prompt to all classes (in your seat when the bell rings). Five minutes passing time is adequate; plan your time carefully. Students who are tardy to class will be issued a consequence.
The Select Recorder Ensemble is open to students in grades 8-12 who would like to play a variety of recorder ensemble music in a rehearsal (once per week) and performance. This is a student-led, teacher-coached ensemble where the membership can shape the goals and choose repertoire based on interests and abilities. Stop by room 213 on Wednesday morning at 7:45 AM for more information or to sign up. Rehearsals will begin the following week. See Mrs. Gottry with any questions.
